Individual Therapy

Let’s be real. The world is changing. Between the ever evolving AI, political unrest, changes in the economy, and the rising cost of healthcare, it can feel overwhelming deciding if we should start therapy. At Tranquil Talk Therapy, I am a real person with over a decade of clinical experience. I never use AI in the therapy room to assist with note writing. I’m not a chat bot. I’m a real human, with real life experience, and I’m here to help other humans on their journey. I am here to help you navigate through real life and build the life you desire.

In our first session, I’ll focus on creating an empathetic space where you feel heard, valued, and respected. After finding a deeper understanding of your concerns, we’ll work together to find a treatment course tailored to your needs. As a therapist, I have a very laidback therapeutic style and tend to engage in more Narrative Therapy (i.e., you talk, I listen, and provide gentle feedback) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) interventions. Before jumping into private practice, I worked over 7-years providing support to cancer patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting. I often incorporate this experience into my work and focus on creating meaning in the midst of suffering.

I’ve taken many classes and seminars and am trained in several evidenced based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Meaning Centered Psychotherapy (MCP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Couples Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Prolonged Exposure, and Feminist Therapy. Our time together can be as formal or informal as you would like.

Most importantly, we will work together to create a treatment plan that works for you, and I will strive to work alongside you while we face life challenges together. Together, we’ll work to overcome your concerns and strive to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
